How to Connect to Campus Wi-Fi (Eagle Secure)

Follow the steps below to get your device connected to the secure campus Wi-Fi network.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Connect to Eagle Wi-Fi (Temporary Network)

    • Open your deviceโ€™s Wi-Fi settings.

    • Select Eagle Wi-Fi from the list of available networks.

    Note: Eagle Wi-Fi is a temporary network used only to initiate the setup process. It does not provide Internet access.
  2. Access the Wi-Fi Setup Portal

    • Open a browser and go to cloudpath.tamut.edu.

    • Click the Students, Faculty, & Staff button.

    • Sign in using your EagleID and password.

  3. Download and Install the Wi-Fi Certificate

    • Follow the on-screen instructions to begin the setup.

    • The portal will guide you through downloading and installing the correct certificate for your device.

    • Be sure to allow any prompts or permissions during installation.

  4. Connect to Eagle Secure (Permanent Network)

    • After the certificate is installed, return to your Wi-Fi settings.

    • Select Eagle Secure from the available networks.

    • You should now have full internet access on campus.

Device-Specific Instructions

๐Ÿ“ฑ iOS (iPhone & iPad)
  • Tap Allow if prompted to download the configuration profile.
  • Go to Settings > General > VPN & Device Management.
  • Tap the Profile and then Install.
  • Enter your device passcode if prompted and complete the installation.
  • Return to Wi-Fi settings and connect to Eagle Secure.
๐Ÿค– Android
  • Follow the download prompt for the certificate installer.
  • Open the downloaded file and follow any on-screen instructions.
  • You may be prompted to enter your device PIN and trust the certificate.
  • Once complete, return to Wi-Fi settings and connect to Eagle Secure.
๐Ÿ’ป Windows
  • A small agent installer will download (typically named Cloudpath.exe).
  • Open and run the installer.
  • Follow all prompts to install the security certificate.
  • Once installation completes, your device will automatically connect to Eagle Secure.
๐ŸŽ macOS
  • Follow the download prompt to get the configuration file.
  • Open the file (it will usually open System Preferences automatically).
  • Approve the installation and enter your Mac password if prompted.
  • Once installed, go to Wi-Fi settings and join Eagle Secure.
๐ŸŒ Chrome OS (Chromebooks)
  • Connect to the Eagle Wi-Fi network temporarily.
  • Open Chrome and go to neverssl.com.
  • Click the Students, Faculty, & Staff button and sign in with your EagleID and password.
  • Follow the prompts to download the network configuration file (usually a .onc file).
  • Open a new tab and navigate to chrome://network.
  • Under the "Import ONC file" section, select the downloaded file to install it.
  • Once the import is complete, go to your Wi-Fi settings and connect to Eagle Secure.
