EagleID Format

How It’s Constructed:
Your EagleID is created using the first four letters of your last name followed by the last four digits of your CWID.

Example:

  • Name: John Smith

  • CWID: 80000000

  • EagleID: Smit0000


Default Password

Initial Password Format:
Your default password uses the format:
TamutXXXX, where the Xs represent the last four digits of your CWID.

Example:

  • CWID: 80000000

  • Default Password: Tamut0000


Changing Your EagleID Password

Password Self-Service:
To change your password or set up your self-service account, visit:

Follow the instructions in the knowledge base article titled:
"Register for EagleID Password Self-Service" for guidance on setting up your account.


Troubleshooting & Support

Login Issues:
If you are unable to log in and have not set up your password self-service or security questions, please contact IT support.

Password Reset Policy:
To protect your account, we require visual identity verification before we can reset your password.

You must present one of the following valid photo IDs:

  • State-issued driver’s license

  • Government-issued ID card

  • Passport

  • TAMUT-issued student photo ID

If you are unable to visit the Service Desk in person, call us at 903-334-6603 to schedule a Zoom or Microsoft Teams video call for remote verification.
