How to Log in to Web for Students

Summary

Web for Students provides access to important academic and financial information, including your class schedule, grades, unofficial transcripts, and more. Follow the steps in this article to access your Web for Students account.

Body

1. Go to the Digital Backpack

Visit portal.tamut.edu or click Digital Backpack from the TAMUT website under Quick Links.

2. Sign in with your EagleID

Use the same EagleID credentials you use for Canvas, Zoom, Digital Backpack apps, and other TAMUT systems.

  • Username: EagleID

  • Password: Your standard TAMUT password

3. Open Web for Students

Once inside the Digital Backpack, look for the Banner Web for Students tile and click to open it.

Legacy Login Instructions (Former System)

These instructions apply only if you are accessing the old Web for Students login page, which will remain available for a short transition period.

Step-by-Step Instructions (Legacy Login Method)

1. Go to the TAMUT Website
Visit tamut.edu and click “Web for Students/Faculty” in Quick Links.

2. Enter Your CWID
Use your 8-digit Campus Wide ID (CWID) as your username.

3. Enter Your PIN
Your default PIN is your 6-digit date of birth in MMDDYY format.
Example: Birthday January 5, 2001 → PIN: 010501

4. Update Your PIN (Recommended)
After logging in, it is strongly recommended that you update your PIN for security.
